How long did it take you to truly learn to code Java?

I'm currently in training for work learning to code Java. Today is day 4. Training is approximately 3 weeks. I have no prior experience with coding...
How long did it take you before it "clicked" in your mind?
How long did it take you to be able to perform working code from memory?

You should be able to do basic coding and understanding in 3 weeks, depending on how many hours per day you are training. A lot of business class training for coding consists of one (1) week for eight (8) hours per day taking you from no knowledge to entry/intermediate level. So three weeks should be good although I won't say it will "click" by then. My first language took a while and a lot of practice before it all clicked into place. The concept is the same for most languages so once it clicks for one, it is easy for the others.
