Its your personal choice and depends on everyone's mind some considered it highly interesting like me, Anyway HTML stands for Hypertext Mark-up Language and is an Internet World Wide Web description language that tells your web browser how a page is going to look.

I learned HTML originally so that I could modify my HTML pages and add my Adsense code in the exact place that I wanted it. Later, I used the same HTML knowledge in Blogger. It's been a useful skill to have.

When you understand HTML, you will know where to drop your Adsense code into the Blogger theme. Also there are many little HTML tweaks you can make on your own to the theme that will customize it for your own purposes.

Suppose there is a small bug in your page, which can be related to margin or positioning of a element. Upto my knowledge there is no tool which can handle relative positioning. Now, if you don't know html how will you specify relative positioning ?

You should learn HTML so that you have the flexibility to modify your own blog or website template; install Adsense code and change your images when you want. By knowing HTML, you won't need to hire a web designer to work for you to do those jobs.

Perhaps the word traditional was used to mean 'acceptable' or 'most accepted' method rather than traditional as in outdated. And yes, HTML is very much used to build websites even now.

Goto freelancer or post a gig here. There are many buyers or employers who need help in fixing something or the other in there site. And you need to know basics of html, css and javascript to solve there problems ;). So, opportunities are many. It is just that you need to capture it ! ;)

It depends upon person to person. Today internet is a vital source for everybody. Every businessmen , youngsters , home maker love to use internet because it a big ocean. here ocean means plenty of information is available on any topic.
On the same way we can learn any computer language with the help of internet. there is no need of any guidance. Thanks to plenty of search engines. Just put the keywords and grasp any knowledge. So we can also learn HTML with the help of internet.

You can use firebug plugin for understanding usage of html in websites like google ! And if you are planning to create a site similar to google or bing, then it is one of the best tool to understand and implement html in better way.
