Which better PHP or JSP?

Haii Friends,

This is nancyavis. Recently i stated business. Can you please explain me which is better server side language. I wish you "A very happy Christmas" in advance.

You should go for JSP as you already have some knowledge in Java. it will take you less time learning JSP, and also JSP has some extra functionality and security feature over PHP, so if you learn JSP in some time it will take even less time to learn PHP if you find any need in future.

PHP by FAR in my opinion. It's really not hard to pick up, just learn the syntax. And the documentation is outstanding.

i think talking in web side, the PHP is more powerful and useful than the Java Server... Java is good for Mobiles Application and games...

Hello,

I think this is a spam thread in which the OP added their spammy virus scam website to. HTML is not in the category of PHP/JSP.. I think this thread should be deleted.

I prefer jsp over PHP. The simple reason for me to prefer jsp, is that, I don't know PHP :|. Also, php is difficult to learn for a newbie when compared to JAVA/JSP.

I like php and I'm very comfortable with php. It doesn't require special vm like jit (required for jsp or java based sites). PHP is light weight and has hell lot of methods to connect to db and perform operations.

Hi,

The PHP( Hyper Test Preprocessor) is better for JSP. You know its a open source and currently mostly using programming language.

I don't think jsp is easier than php. I mean it took me more time to understand jsp than php! On what basis are you saying jsp is easier than php?

PHP is interesting

and this language is also used most while designing wordpress pages, themes etc. So this is fun and loving language.
