Why do some pages keep reloading?

On some sites I visit, the page just reloads constantly and you can see that as it says, 'connecting' on the browser tab. Why does that happen?

I have experiences this too, after the page loads, it does the same again, and again!

I thought it was a browser problem on my site of things, I didn't consider it being a problem with a particular website because it has happened a few times to me and im pretty sure I wasn't on the same website wen they happened.

Most likely, there is a script on the page that is loading new advertisements into an iframe. There could be other reasons the page is reloading, that's just one I have encountered.

Are there any new elements on the page after it reloads or does the tab just reload? For instance, do you see the page go white or actually reload or do you only see the tab browser button refresh?
